And much needed, though the real
aches didn’t set in til afternoon!
The
morning poured with rain, which gave us time to sort out the photos for the
blog, a very time-consuming exercise given the hundred plus photos we take each
day!!
Luckily, it stopped by lunchtime
and we walked out of town to The Singular Hotel which we were told was worth
visiting as it has a fascinating museum, being situated in the buildings of a
former abbatoir, thriving in the middle part of the last century, but fallen to
ruin.
It was saved and superbly
converted into a unique and beautiful hotel, a process that took ten years.

Reception!
As well as being an abattoir,
the carcasses were frozen and stored in cold storage, and the hides and fleece
processed and forwarded to England. Fascinating displays and relics.
Then a windy walk back to our
hotel and…..blog time!
Dinner in the hotel tonight, as
tomorrow sees the long drive to El Calafarte and a flight to Ushuaia on Tierro
Del Fuego for the next exciting adventure…..
